The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is an amazing server designed for high density with a compact 1U form factor to maximize data center efficiency. It has up to 8 hot-swappable NVMe drives that support low latency and high input/output operations per second. The server employs innovative PCIe Gen4 slots as a way to boost the information data transfer rate and adaptability necessary for density computational and expansive programs.

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs comes with an option for up to two 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 32 cores per processor. This capability is even more important for applications that require heavy computational power such as virtualization, artificial intelligence, and real-time analytics. It also has Intel Deep Learning Boost (DL Boost) which enhances the artificial intelligence inference operations and the real-time for the multiple works concurrently.

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs can support up to 16 DDR4 DIMM for up to 1TB memory at 3200 MT/s, enhancing the performance for applications that heavily rely on memory inputs like virtualization and database management. The server provides flexibility in storage options such as SAS, SATA, and NVMe drives with a maximum capacity of 76.8TB, which will provide rapid data retrieval capabilities and ample storage options for various and complex applications.

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is compatible with multiple operating systems and hypervisors such as Windows Server, Linux distributions, VMware ESXi, and Microsoft Hyper-V. This capability also makes it possible for it to blend well with existing IT structures, hence, capable of addressing a broad spectrum of virtualization and workload needs from MS SharePoint file sharing to data-intensive operations.

Enhanced with robust features that are common in enterprise solutions, Dell PowerEdge R650xs features a silicon-based root of trust, that delivers firmware assurance from the time the server is powered on. It also provides Bios control to prevent unauthorized users from changing settings, booting control, and the system erase option. Furthermore, the server can utilize hardware-based encryption, as well as, an enhancement for TPM 2. 0, which means all data is encrypted and safe from malicious attempts whether it is stored on the device or in transit.

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is equipped with the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 9 (iDRAC9) for the server’s efficient and effective management. iDRAC9 also allows IT administrators to remotely check the status of the server, not only execute tasks but also receive real-time notifications and comprehensive reports regarding the overall management of the systems. It also supports RESTful APIs for automation, control, decreased operational expenses, and increased server up-time and effectiveness.
