Unity XT series represents 380, 480, 680, and 880 models, offered in all-flash and hybrid-flash varieties. All-flash arrays use NVMe SSDs to allow for the greatest throughput, and hybrid ones use a tier of SSD and HDD to maintain a low cost. The arrays support scale-up with drive expansion enclosures as well as scale-out by clustering multiple arrays. Connectivity options include Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and a variety of Ethernet file protocols.
