I was confused about which server would best suit my needs. Thanks to Server Basket for the pre-sales assistance, they helped me select the right one. I got a Dell M620 server for my business, and it is providing the right speed and computing power.

What is the form factor of the Dell M620 server?

Dell M620 is a half-height blade, compatible with the M1000e chassis. It hosts the blocks of the Dell PowerEdge M620 blade server that are disintegrated, and provides storage access in order to generate consumable resources based on demand.

Can we add extra hard drives to the server for storage expansion?

Yes, additional HDs, as well as RAID controllers, can be added to this server. Controllers such as PERC H710 or H710P can be added to enhance Dell M620 storage configuration and management.

What processor models are supported by the Dell M620 Blade Server?

The Dell Poweredge M620 blade server supports Intel® Xeon® processor and the product family is either  E5-2600 or E5-2600 v2. It comes in 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 core options.

Is it compatible with all the operating systems?

The Dell Poweredge M620 is compatible with various operating systems such as the Microsoft Windows Server (2008 R2 SP1, x64, 2012, and 2012 R2), Linux Enterprise Server, Novell SUSE, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Does the server come with an integrated graphics card?

According to the PowerEdge M620 specs, the server doesn’t come with an inbuilt graphics card, however, it has drivers for the nVIDIA GeForce 930MX, 940MX, and Quadro M620 graphics cards.
